An Advisor's Guide to Property and Casualty Insurance Reviews
Course Information
Content Level:  Intermediate
NAPFA Subject Area: B-Insurance & Risk Management
Course Description

Property/casualty insurance remains a "black box" to many financial planners, yet these policies play a pivotal role in the risk management process. With their knowledge of their clients' entire financial picture, financial planners have a unique opportunity to help guide their clients in making informed decisions related to appropriate coverage, starting with a review of their current policies. This session will help advisors construct a framework for what to look for when reviewing a client's P&C documents.

Holistiplan is a 2023 Strategic Partner of NAPFA, and this program will also be presented at the NAPFA Fall 2023 National Conference.

Learning Objectives
  1. Review common terminology in property/casualty insurance documents
  2. Describe key elements that advisors should look for when reviewing property/casualty insurance policies
  3. Discuss the importance of developing a systematic and consistent process for conducting P&C insurance policy reviews
