JD Gardner, CFA CMT
JD Gardner holds an undergraduate degree in Finance and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from Wright State University. He holds both the CFA Charter and the Chartered Market Technician (CMT) designations. He spent time at UBS, Morgan Stanley, and as a research analyst before starting Aptus. With experience in developing systematic strategies, he saw the opportunity to help navigate the current environment with efficiencies found in the ETF structure.
Joseph Sykora joined Aptus in 2021 after seven years as co-founder and managing partner of Gallatin Natural Resources, a west Texas mineral and royalty acquisition company, where he managed a team of landmen originating deals across multiple domestic oil & gas basins and conducted all underwriting due diligence on acquisitions. Prior to Gallatin, he worked as a high-yield fixed income analyst covering energy for Sterne, Agee & Leach. Sykora holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and has a masters degree in Accounting from the University of Alabama.
James Yahoudy has worked as an advisor and closely with advisors since 2010. He came to Aptus from TD Ameritrade Institutional where he worked with RIAs in a variety of practice management areas and assisted breakaway brokers with the process of going independent. Yahoudy is a CFP® and graduated from the University of North Texas with a bachelors degree in Finance. He completed his certificate program in Financial Planning at Southern Methodist University.
