A well-defined career path sets an employee, supervisor, and firm on a journey for success.  Join Cheryl Holland, Caleb Brown, and Eileen Stevens as they each bring a unique perspective on how employers can create well-defined paths for their employees and how to properly communicate the expectations for each stage along the way.

Cheryl R. Holland, CFP® 

Cheryl R. Holland, CFP ® is Founder of Abacus Planning Group, Inc., a holistic, fee-only financial advisory firm with offices in Columbia, and Greenville, South Carolina.  Abacus works with entrepreneurial families with shared assets such as businesses, farms, commercial real estate.

Ms. Holland is a dedicated volunteer in her profession and community and is currently a member of the Clemson University Foundation Board (Chair), NAPFA Board of Directors, Together Women Rise Board of Trustees (Chair) , South Carolina Special Olympics Board, Children’s Trust of SC, United Way of the Midlands, and the Institute for the Fiduciary Standard. Weekends find Ms. Holland reading a book, baking, trying to count birds, or weeding her herb garden.

Eileen Stevens, CFP® 

Eileen Stevens, CFP®, is an Associate Wealth Advisor with Corient Private Wealth LLC. She has a passion for promoting financial literacy for her clients and the community. Eileen is a member of the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic Regional Board for the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) and has volunteered as an instructor and mentor with Rock the Street, Wall Street, a nonprofit organization aimed to equip high-school girls with the skills to succeed financially and pursue a career in mathematics.

Caleb Brown

Caleb Brown is the host of the New Planner Podcast, and co-founder and CEO of New Planner Recruiting, which specializes in sourcing, screening, and integrating financial planners in financial planning firms  nationwide. He was named the Next Generation Influencer by Financial Planning magazine, one of the top 25 most influential people in the industry by Investment Advisor, and Investment News 40 under 40. He is a graduate of the Texas Tech Personal Financial Planning Program and started his career spending over five years in an RIA firm in North Texas helping a sole practitioner transition the firm to an ensemble model. He has been recognized as a Distinguished Alumnus for the TTU College of Human Sciences and a Distinguished  Alumnus for the TTU Financial Planning Program. He has authored Successful Hiring for Financial Planners:  The Human Capital Advantage which is a compilation of the to do’s and what not to do’s in hiring for a  financial planning firm so business owners can alleviate pain points often associated with hiring. As well as Finding Your Path: The Roadmap From Student to Successful Financial Planner a guide for aspiring planners  to create the career of their dreams. 

He is a Kolbe Certified™ Consultant, and original creator of the FPA Career Day program, which began with the Dallas/ Ft. Worth chapter and subsequently, has been implemented by other organizations across the nation. He is also an Adjunct Faculty member for the University of Georgia’s Financial  Planning Program.
