Course Description

This session invites financial planners to expand their role from wealth managers to legacy stewards—trusted guides who help families navigate the emotional, relational, and cultural dimensions of wealth transfer. Drawing from her background in family systems, financial empowerment, and legacy strategy, Dr Shay explores how planners can support their clients not only in preparing assets for heirs, but in preparing heirs for assets. Attendees will learn how to engage clients in values-based conversations, recognize signs of relational strain, and introduce legacy tools that foster cohesion, continuity, and clarity across generations.

Learning Objectives
  1. Reframe legacy planning as a relational, not just transactional, process.
  2. Incorporate emotional intelligence into family financial conversations.
  3.  Introduce practices that align wealth with purpose, identity, and shared values.
  4. Support multigenerational clients in cultivating trust, transparency, and resilience
