This session aims to help financial advisors provide meaningful guidance to parents concerned about affording college for their children. The presenters will frame the conversation through the lens of recent data and why college remains a priority for parents.  They will also review the basics of financial aid and how it may impact clients, especially high net worth parents, when planning for college.  Finally, the presenters will discuss saving and paying strategies and how recent legislative changes – including those for the free application for federal student aid (FAFSA) – may impact families as they help their children thoughtfully select a college that is right for them.
