In this initial webinar of three sessions focused on building trust and earning credibility in a digital world, learn how to narrow your focus and become a magnetic force so the right people find you and say yes without pressure or stress.

This session will be chock full of tips on:

  • Honing in on and attract the clients you really want to serve
  • Utilizing public relations and building a strong online presence to play a part in generating visibility and trust
  • Using "avatars" and "ideal client personas" coupled with hyper-relevant case studies and other valuable content to become a magnetic marketing force
  • Incorporating images and words to pull the right people to your firm and services

Homework Assignment for Session #3: Create a series of ICPs (a.k.a., avatars) and corresponding hyper-relevant case studies using the coaching provided. Come to the third session prepared to discuss what you did as a result.

Speaker
Sam Brownell, CVA, CFA, MBA


Sam Brownell, CVA, CFA, MBA, has been a financial professional since 2006 and formed Stratus Capital Management in 2013. As the firm grew, an increasing number of independent business owners sought Sam’s advice on their short and long-term planning needs, including valuation, tax strategy, business continuity planning, and succession planning. In 2019, Sam obtained the CVA certification from the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA) in order to better serve the valuation and succession planning needs of his independent business owner clients.

Sam earned his BA in Economics from Loyola University in Maryland and his MBA from the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business. Prior to forming Stratus, Sam worked in trading, valuation, and research at two investment banks, where he became a CFA charterholder, and was an economic consultant analyzing structured financial products and other fixed income securities.

Steve Weinberger

Steve Weinberger joined HCR Wealth, a Los Angeles-based Registered Investment Advisor, in 1998. He spends time with clients to develop personalized investment portfolio strategies, pointing out exposure and potential risks to ensure that clients are ready for unexpected curve balls. He specializes in working with clients who are going through life transitions (ex. retirement, widowhood, selling a business).

Prior to joining HCR, Steve worked at Prudential Insurance. He has an MBA with an emphasis in finance from Pepperdine’s Graziadio School of Business and Management.

Jonny Swift

Jonny Swift specializes in social media consulting, digital media production, and online presence as Director of Social/Digital Strategy at Impact Communications. He has presented his social and digital media marketing tactics and best practices at the Barron's Top Women Advisors Summit, ACP National Conferences, Bob Veres’ Insider’s Forum, the T3 Technology Tools for Today Advisor Conference.

Marie Swift, moderator

Marie Swift is President and CEO of Impact Communications, a full-service marketing communications firm that works solely within the financial services industry. Prior to establishing Impact Communications in 1993, she served as Director of Corporate Communications for a group independent financial advisors in California. Marie is in demand as a speaker at conferences for financial services professionals and is a prolific writer.
