Course Description
Money Smart Week is an annual effort led by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. During this week in April, financial experts, non-profits, government entities, and others come together to provide free educational seminars across the country. Programming is offered to people of all income levels and covers all facets of personal finance from establishing a budget to first-time home buying to estate planning. Planning for Money Smart Week 2019 is already starting.
Learning Objectives
  1. Understand what cultural competencies are and why they matter to their financial planning practice.
  2. Discover the advantages of mastering cultural competencies and the disadvantage of not mastering them.
  3. Learn how to apply newly acquired information to help them effectively communicate with clients in their practice who share a different culture their own.
